midnightcoder told me yesterday that Gadeebee (
drakin769) was indeed able to resurrect Loban (me) with some sort of funky potion or staff. Anyone who knows Gadeebee knows that, besides my character the cleric, he's probably the most likely to have the right stuff on hand to do that kind of thing. He walks around and collects random stuff in little glass vials - black fogs, vampire dust, green slime - you name it. :) Anyway, I am very happy that my beloved Loban did not indeed die in battle. The worst part (which I neglected to mention last time) is that the only reason she died is because she completely flunked a will save (I rolled a 1 - UGH)...
Anyhoo... Yesterday was nice because Brian came down to Boxborough and spent the day with me. I took him grocery shopping, which he tells me he really liked doing. We then made dinner together - beef and broccoli stir fry, yummmmmmmm. It was really nice having Brian around... it feels more like home when he's here. :)
Tomorrow night is the montly teleconference for work. This is something we do once a month - so that all the outside people can get filled in on what's going on. Everyone signs on to this thing at 8:30 PM Eastern - so that the folks on the West Coast can log in right at the end of their day. I sent a confirmation email to my co-worker L-, who is the moderator of the telcon, saying that I would definitely be on the call because I wanted to test out my new speakerphone. A minute later she came to my desk and was like, "So, the ONLY reason you want to be on the call is to test your phone, huh?" And I was like, "But L-, the conversation is so ENTHRALLING and I wouldn't want to miss a THING by holding the phone to my EAR for an hour straight, now, would I??" And much hilarity ensued, because that's just how offbeat L- and I are. For instance, we have a running joke where I call her The 2-Legged Mouse. But that's another story for another time.
