Spirit of Century actual play from yesterday.

Yesterday four other people came over and we made characters for Spirit of the Century and then did a test run afterwards.  :)  It was a fun day and trying out a new system is not always an easy thing, but we managed to get through it without too much difficulty.  Two of have played the game (a one shot at Big Apple Con).

Sounds like you had some perfectly normal "getting up to speed" bits here.

I don't think there was anything wrong with letting the dude use Stage Magic vs. Minions. Minions are there to be disposed of in colorful ways!

I usually budget a full session just for character creation with a group of 4 (then again, sessions are usually pretty short by the necessity of schedules). Kudos on your ambition and success!

Yeah, he was creative enough in his answer that I had to allow the Stage Magic stunt. The only reason I even said anything was because of the way the book was written and how it defined it. :)

The next one will be much better since I will have much more information and we are going to work on some their aspects.
