So, starting on May 20, 2009, I decided to see how many books I actually read in a year. I didn’t really think about what I would read, but just was curious as to how it would turn out (the results are below). It was a mix of books. First of all, I am a fantasy lover, so I am not surprised that so many where actually fantasy, seeing how that is my favorite genre. It was also a mix of book from my sci-fi/fantasy book club, new books, and even a few rpg and graphic novels. It is based on a scale of 1-10, and I wish I could have read just one more book to make it an even 100 for the year. I will be doing this again this year, but will probably make a few changes on how to do it.
Days 365. Books 99. I read a book every 3.69 days
Total. 717.5 and 7.25 avg (99 books)
Bookclub 113.5 and 6.31 avg. (18 books 18.2%)
Fantasy 395 and 7.74 avg (51 books 51.5%)
Fiction 191.5 and 7.09 avg (27 books 27.3%)
Graphic Novel 16.0 and 8.0 avg (2 books 1.6%)
Horror 5.50 and 5.50 avg (1 book 1.0%)
Non-fiction 8.0 and 8.0 avg (1 book 1.0%)
Rpg 17.5 and 8.75 avg (2 books 2.0%)
Sci-fi 84.0 and 5.60 avg (15 books 15.2%)
I will have another post listing all of the books. :)
