Zombie Prom tonight, link, and babies want to eat your brains!

Sep 12, 2009 08:08

Just a friendly reminder that the book signing and Zombie Prom is tonight. At 7:00 p.m. at the West Little Rock Barnes and Noble (the one on Financial Center Parkway next to the Toys R Us.) I'll only be there from 7-8 p.m. due to family constraints, so come early and snag your signed copy of YOU ARE SO UNDEAD TO ME.

I've heard they make great back to school presents. Or early Rosh Hashanah gifts (Any holiday is a good day for gift giving. Especially zombie book gift giving.) Or maybe you're looking for something special to slip in the Halloween basket of a loved one. Give them the gift of zombies, a gift they won't soon forget.

So...yeah. I just don't want to be that author dressed up with a huge pile of unsold books sitting on the table next to her. It's kind of the equivalent of getting pretty for a party and then no one asking you to dance. Or saying "no way, pink jeans" when you ask them to dance. I still remember the seventh grade boy of whom I speak! If you live close to Little Rock, person, you'd better come buy a few books and maybe I'll forgive you for your thirteen year old sins. (And those pink jeans were fun. I stand by that fashion choice made by my younger self.)

Anyway, I'm a little nervous, but I am excited about the dress up part. The hubs and 5 and BabyLo are all going to get zombified, as well. I imagine BabyLo will be especially fearsome and drooly and lend quite a bit of credibility to his role of tiny brain eater. So come just to check that action, if for no other reason. (The baby below is not my baby. That is also not my cat. This baby and cat are used to illustrate what could happen tonight if my baby gets into his zombie role and...someone brings a cat to the bookstore.)

And now, for the link to an excellent interview with the geektastic authors of THE GEEK GIRL'S GUIDE TO CHEERLEADING:

Thanks! Hope to see some of you tonight!
