Yes, I am.
So my Grandma returned from Alaska with presents for all. Completely unaware of my recent jewelry purchases, she bought me an elk medallion, and it is horrendous. It's this teal-y swirled background (as you would see on a dolphin ankle bracelet for instance) and its got a silver elk and a floating opal-y piece that clinks around. It is the strangest thing I have ever seen. Even stranger, I do not love it.
I have been alternating between between pretty damn happy and depressed and angry. You have caught me on a good day today, despite: the light over my desk breaking, leaving me in a shroud of darkness, getting locked out of the office for 15 minutes while pounding on the door, breaking my printer and getting ink all over my hands and getting told off by an angry contracter (but that almost doesn't count because it happens everyday). I've been pretty lucky lately, namely not dying after venturing into Kensington at night and landing a sweet job interview, which is looming in the future, aka Thursday. I'm so nervous. I've never been on a job interview that I care about it. I'm also pretty damn excited to get to skip work on Thursday as well. And then Texas. I am so excited to gather up the most shitty and ridiculous souveniers ever.
I just realized the shirt I wore to work today has giant holes all over the back which reminds me that I am in fact the eccentric secretary that dresses weird and no one really talks to at work. Also, I'm sporadically in charge of the interns, and they finally figured out that I don't care if they don't do work. That is why people shouldn't work under me.
Workin',
For the Weekend
