I never wanna be woken up that way again
Ever have one of those days when the alarm goes off, and you just don't want to get out of bed. Yeah, I had one of those yesterday, and since I set my alarm for 7:40 and I don't have to be anywhere till noon, I just bumped it back an hour or two. Then at 8:07 (yes, I looked hon) Rose calls (normally this would have been a pleasant suprise but she's supposed to be in school at 8) The first words out of her mouth were "Hon, I just totaled my car" needless to say, I was UP. I threw on the pants and socks that were on my floor and flew out to the scene. Rose's van was wheels up in a ditch, Rose was wet head to toe crying. Her aunt and cousin had gotten there just before me, so I left her with them and went and got her some dry clothes. When I got back the scene was progressing, the sheriff's dept. was there and we were figuring out what to do with the car. We took Rose to the hospital, and had her checked out. She is one LUCKY girl. There were bumps, I didn't see any bruises, and everything internal was just fine. We then drove to see the van. It looked normal from the right side. Then you moved around front, the windsheild was gone and the front bumper was messed up. The left side glass was all gone, the headliner was sagging, and there was an inch of standing water in the interior, but it looks savable. I found the glass for the side on ebay, bout $125 and it's local to boot. But I still haven't found a good deal on a windsheild, the cheapest I've seen was OEM and $420. Anyway, I'm going to be headed off. TTYL
