Rest in Peace.

Bobbie was a friend of my family in Knoxville. She'd love to come to Memphis and go to Tunica and she was an AMAZING cook. She was a wonderful women and I'll miss her dearly.

The last time I saw her was at Christmas time. I plugged in the lights on her tree (which was really hard because the outlet was covered with the tree...and yeah). She gave us a Hickory Farms food set with cheese, sausage and crackers. Then she tried to stuff food down me. I ate a sausage ball, some Hello Dollies, some kind of Chex with peanut butter and powdered sugar...yum. She said she could fatten me up if she had a week. =)

She had been battling with cancer, and every time we thought it was gone, it would come back a few months later. Even after chemo, it ended up spreading to her brain. She woke up blind a few days ago, and last night, she passed at 3 AM.

What's weird is that I thought about her so much yesterday. My mom had terrible nightmares last night and she called my grandmother first thing this morning (Saturday). Bobbie had died. She just told me about it, and I already knew in an odd sort of way.

She's not hurting anymore. She's not scared anymore. She's in God's hands. That's where she's always wanted to be. She's back with her husband who she missed so much. I'm so glad I was able to have her in my life.
