Christmas Time!
Well Christmas was fun:)...I had to work all thru it, but we had a dinner with my family fairly early because my grandparents went on a cruise and my uncle had to work on Christmas. So we opened our presents from them at that time. Matt got some pretty sweet gift cards and I got a couple, but basically my other presents were just ok. We also went to Matt's MacDougall family Christmas where about 50 people were there and everyone kept saying how there weren't as many as last year. It is nice we have a good meal and everyone hangs out talking. We asked Matt's uncle to marry us (he's an ordained minister) and he said yes, so there is another thing crossed off my list.
The next night after that we went to my parents house so that Matt, JJ and Tanya and Ethan, could all open their gifts since none of them would be around to see Mom and Vic on Christmas. Matt made out pretty well again. I decided to save my presents till Christmas Day.
Christmas Eve at work was so boring...it was so dead in there, but I stayed till the bitter end. At least I had Tracy and Andrea so that was fun...I only get to see Trace 4 more times before she leave on Mat. Leave. I am really going to miss her.:(
Anyways on Christmas Day, I got up fairly early, for me, and went to my parents house where we opened up presents. I must say that I wasn't too excited with my gifts this year, does that sound bad? My mom asked for a list and got me nothing on it. Matt and his family, however, got me pretty much everything I had on my list, and they never saw the list. Weird, eh? MOving on, we then went to brunch at the Holiday Inn with my parents' friends and that was delicious!! then I went to work...but we all brought in some treats and it was a little party so it wasn't bad at all. Plus I got to leave at 7:30 which was cool, cause then I got to see Rachel!! and she brought over my wedding invitations!!! They look awesome, but very labour intensive...I was going to have a party for my girls to help with the ribbon threading, but I sat around on Boxing Day doing laundry and invitations...very productive day! Then Matt came over and we opened presents and the best present was a cell phone!! Except right now, it has nothing but the ability to make and receive calls....no text messaging, no voicemail, no caller ID. But that is going to change very soon:) the best part...it's pink!! So me...I am going to go to Bell World and buy a case that I saw for it, it is turquoise...and it rocks like my phone!
One more thing, Matt and I got an abundance of gift cards for Future Shop so we are going to buy a camcorder for our honeymoon!
