So, second week of school. Classes are pretty fun, except the... people in them. Eugh I feel kind of bad complaining about them, but I just... aaahaha I dunno, the girls in my class (there are only two other guys in the class of ~17 ahaha) act a lot like high school freshman. I didn't really have anyone like that in my classes as far as I can remember, one girl liked anime but the anime she liked was... idk, Berserk. Don't worry, as the year[s] progresses people change and are weeded out.

but ff just because you've had different experiences (?) than them doesn't mean you have nothing to bond over, how do you know what they've experienced just based on their ^_______^ DErpfhf ANIME, NYAN!-ing? Don't focus on the differences too much, instead focus on the similarities :D Everyone grows and changes over time. I'm sure you will make friends!! There are some wonderful people attending SVA. I have a couple friends starting as freshman too, you should all hang out ;D

I guess what I meant experience-wise was I might be less ehm... I dunno, eager to make friends? I didn't mean to say I was any better or anything, ahaha anything but. Most of them have lived in the city their whole life and so they aren't as timid as I am. I am trying to get on with them though! I just... augh I'm so awkward, I don't handle LOUD!! very well.

Oh man more freshies. Big internet friend-of-friend get-together. We can all stand around and shuffle our feet.

I just felt bad because I realized how holier-than-thou I sounded. If anything, I'm really feeling like I'm the ehm... odd/off/weird one.

Do you know what majors they're in? :0 Just curious. I doubt I've met any of them since I kind of ghost around my residence dorm and don't go out much aaaa anxiety porblums. One day I'll man up a bit. ... I have been trying I just am so bad at social situations ahaha.

Let's seeee. The freshmen I mentioned are Dana/Lemming-Exodus is in Illustration, and Steph/Kippery... I think she is too? The others are upperclassmen but I think everyone I know is in illustration, with the exception of Naomi who's in all dem motion graphics. If I can think of any others, who are in animation, I will let you know? :D?

I'm totes empathetic on the anxiety front, don't worry-- I'm sure it'll get better though as the classes get rolling some more and all. I'm sure people want to be your friend, your skills are probably just intimidating 9u6 art students are shy d'awwww

Ahh that's neat though. Illustration/cartooning was my second choice, but I settled on animation because I figured it was a bit more of a broad education, hahaha. I should find these guys on dA!

I haven't really aahhh showed anyone any of my art. Honestly I'm so intimidated by everyone else, and my art right now just... kind of embarrasses me lmao. :[;
