spare head space
This website has been occupying a lot of my brainspace recently, making me weirdly nostalgic. Tale Spin! Chip N Dale's Rescue Rangers! Duck Tales! Gummi Bears! Fraggle Rock! I'd say it was making me nostalgic for a part of my childhood I'd left behind, but to be honest, I really never left this stuff behind.
I'm trying to relearn all the old theme songs. Did you know that magic and mystery are part of the Gummi Bears' history? Or that you can spin it in a minute if you spin it spin it spin it? Or even weirder stuff that this website is laying on me, like that most of the shows of my youth were outsourced to Asian production companies?
I'm thinking about having a "Saturday morning cartoons" party. Pajamas required. The only food/beverage I will serve will be cold cereal in all the flavors that my Mom would never let me put in the grocery basket. Perusing IMDB, I see that several of my favorites are now out on DVD, so I may try to buy a few more box sets, or there's a video store in town that had some old tapes of a few of the shows.
I wonder how much milk I'd need to stock for a project of this magnitude?
