Six Favorite Songs (thanks Rob)
I would like to preface this by saying I've lost my iPod and my AirPort Express isn't close enough to the speakers, so I haven't really been listening to that much music recently.
Green Eyes - Coldplay
We have two cats, Razzi and Basil. Razzi has a song ("Razzle Dazzle" from the Chicago soundtrack) but Basil didn't, so we decided the best thing we've got is this to describe his big beautiful eyes.
Game of Pricks - Jimmy Eat World
One day, this song came into my head and I haven't been able to get it out since. Jimmy Eat World is a band I dismissed at first, but after listening to Clarity (which I highly recommend) I've got a newfound appreciation. Futures was really good but still radio-friendly, too.
Delicate - Damien Rice
I love Damien Rice. This song in particular makes me want to cry every time I hear it, which is pretty impressive given that I have the emotional depth of a small puddle. The opening guitar is simple and subdued and subtle and utterly beautiful, the lyrics are tragic, and it somehow gets itself lodged in your head pretty easily.
Caring is Creepy - The Shins
This song will always remind me of my first year of college. I listened to it every weekend while I was stuck in traffic driving to Katrina's house.
Eye of the Tiger - Survivor
I'd pay good money to hear this song covered by The Shins.
Tobacco Island - Flogging Molly
I know they're Irish, but I feel so goddamned British listening to this song.
Okay, that was fun. I now tag:
Katrina
Tracy W.B. Monaghan
Asher C.K. Bartch
