[ Chane paused in her gait as she found herself being addressed. By someone she didn't recognize, no less. Drawing the notebook to her chest, she stared at him warily for a moment, then shook her head slowly. The question seemed harmless enough. ]

Are you new around here?

[ She wondered what constituted as being new. It had been about a week since she arrived, to her knowledge, although many aspects of this world tried to convince her otherwise. But there were others who seemed to have been here much longer.

She gave an uneasy nod of her head. Perhaps this man had answers for her. ]
