I'm so glad you decided to continue this! I really like that this is written from Annie's perspective, because it gives a lot of insight into how she's feeling, plus she's really funny. I love how she talks about looking at herself in the past and wondering why she couldn't see the obvious, or why she kept pushing Barney about Robin when things seemed to be going so well. I also really love that Ted is eventually going to end up with a woman who dated Barney first, just as Barney (hopefully!) will end up with a woman who dated Ted first.

I hope you'll be motivated to write more soon, because this is really intriguing/awesome/funny story!

Thanks! I seem to be in the swing of it (at the moment) so hopefully it will be continued asap. I'm so glad you still like this and that you're enjoying Ann and all her quirky run-on thoughts. And yeah I thought it would be poetic for both Ted and Barney to girlfriend swap ;-)

Thanks for the feedback! You rock!

First of all...thank you for posting! I'm incredibly lucky, because I only stumbled upon this like a few weeks ago. And I was just hoping in my mind that you'd choose to continue this...because it's so unlike any fanfiction I've ever read before (duh!).

Initially, I started reading the story because of the Barney/Robin tag, but I'm following it now simply because of the awesomeness of Annie. I simply love her voice. Let's forget the fact that for once I totally relate to the voice of a character in a story, I will just quote this:

I am a highly skilled masochist who doesn’t know heartache until it hits her square in the chest. I chose to hear what he said instead of what he didn’t say and I carried on, swooning at his charm and falling for his wit, not realizing that he never really looked at me the way he looked at her.

Not to get all creepy personal and mushy, but that line, right there, just hit me. It makes sense to me and I can really relate to it. I found your update first thing this morning, and...well, you made my day ( ... )

I'm so glad you can relate, and obviously so can I. I feel like we ladies suffer through this kind of thing at least once in our lives, right? Hopefully we have enough sense to get out of it.

Thank you so much for the compliments and I hope the story continues to hit home for you! I'm glad you decided to give this a read!

Oh, you have no idea how excited I am to see this fic back in action. I really hope you manage to continue and finish it!

I adore Annie, and she's just so funny and quirky and exactly the kind of lady who should fall for Ted (because I just measure everyone against Victoria, and Annie is somehow even better). I love that she can't help herself and picks at the Barney and Robin thing, and the way this story is told is really easy to follow. I like it.

I love the pop culture references everywhere, and when Annie's talking about the non-romantic thing, all I could really think of was in When Harry Met Sally when Harry goes, "You're the worst. You're high maintenance but you think you're low maintenance." Hehehe! But you have this lovely way of describing Annie's view of things as they were happening with a nice dash of hindsight, which makes the whole story even more interesting as it unravels.

So consider this me cheering you on! I love this story! I hope you manage to write more of it!

I hope I manage to continue and finish it too ;-)

I definitely need a cheering section because my writing mojo has been off lately, so thank you so much for this comment and for being so kind (as you always are!)

It's so funny that you mention that part of When Harry Met Sally because that was exactly what I had in mind when I wrote this chapter. That line, and how true it would be for Annie and how much she's probably simple but with plenty of sass which always means high maintenance. Anyway, thanks and let me know how you like the story as it continues (if I manage to keep it going the way I hope I will!)

Bueller?

Hahahaha... and with that you won me over. Genius.

I love your Annie-voice. I love how she's telling this story with total awareness of her own faults - at picking at Barney's Robin-shaped heart-scab. At watching Barney and Robin so intently.

But yet Ann is totally charming at the same time.

More please. I HAVE to know how this resolves.

lol thanks, gotta have the pop culture references in there. Annie loves movies, it seems ;-)

Thank you so much for the feedback and for reading. I've been missing my muse lately so I'm really hoping it's back for a while because this story has been haunting me and I really want to get it finished and resolved.

I hope you're doing well! Thanks again for reading!

I'm so excited to see a continuation of this!

Ann is definitely one of my most favorite OFC's and that's not just because we share a namesake. I also like her because she's easy to relate to. The words you wrote about the not-a-romantic duality rang incredibly true with me. I do that sort of thing all the time.

Also, great job balancing the funny and the angst here. :D Can't wait to see what happens next.

Thanks snogged! I'm glad you're liking it and still reading after the long delay. I do the not-a-romantic thing every now and then but I try my best to keep it in my head and not go spitting it out at the men in my life ;-)

Again, glad you're still reading, I always love your feedback.
