(no subject)
I can't wait for this vacation. It will be good to get away from computer screens and other things -- like the TV -- that have a hold on me here. Honestly, it's sad how little I can get done in my apartment because of constant distractions from mindless television shows and internet searchings.
Although, the last hour here on ye ol' net did help me in one way. I updated the5bitchesbookclub.blogspot.com, the Web site devoted to my crazy family's book club. And I found a hotel for the middle two days of the Florida trip. Now, finally, the pieces are in place. We fly in Wednesday way too early -- the flight leaves at 7:20 -- and spend that day and the next two with Jimmy's Grandma. My birthday is Friday, and Jimmy and I will certainly celebrate by going to the beach. Saturday morn we'll leave and drive down to Singer Island, where I used to stay on swim trips in high school. There, we'll stay at the Hilton on the beach. This is the part of the vacation where we get to be alone. And then Monday, we'll drive down to Miami and stay the next two days and nights with his crazy uncle Bob. He apparently has a three-story house on the beach, so this portion of the trip shouldn't be too shabby either.
It should be loads of fun.
Now, I must go clean the kitchen (I made a sushi feast that I'll post about later) and go workout. Bikini time in three days! EEK!
