And now my dearest fleet it's that time again.
IT'S THE
FLEETIES!
Before we get to the awards themselves your quite sentimental Admiral Goldshirt wants to say a few words. It's the last week of Ship Wars and here we are at the last fleeties. For me strangely the fleeties has been the least important part of this war, not to say that I don't love seeing people get recognition for their incredibly fantastic work and creativity but in the sense that it's been almost incidental to the fantastic entries and battle posts and crew members around. By now I don't think you need to be told how fantastic you all are but I'm going to say it again, each and every one of you have made this whole experience something incredible. We haven't been without our missteps and frown worthy moments but we never let them define us. We've celebrated the love of our personal OTPs and discovered the wonder of others (and realized that hey orgy is the only way to go). It takes a tremendous group of people to do all this and I find it all even more incredible when I think about how for the most part this particular mix of people have never really interacted together. Same fandom but different corners and niches and look at what we did and accomplished and the fun we had. I love you people and all your ships and your passion. Please always celebrate that within yourselves and others because in the end that's what was important in this challenge, even more so then who ultimately wins.
I'm going to stop before I have to start wiping off tears from my keyboard, because I am a sentimental silly, but thank you all for making this a fantastic experience and I hope you all had the same as I.

+ there were approximately 14 discarded votes from the public vote.
+ the public vote is worth 1/2 of the popular vote with the decimal point rounded up to the nearest whole number.
+ all of you have surpassed my every expectation and i find you all to be amazing.

****yes, both Spork and Chulu have second place public vote banners. there is a very good reason for this. see, by the numbers on the poll, Spork is the 2nd place public vote winner. when i made the graphs i went by the points on my spreadsheet (which are reduced to the points you see on the graph there). i noticed the fail just now and remade Spork's banner in accordance with the actual number of votes on the public poll but i don't feel right taking away Chulu's so hopefully you won't mind sharing 2nd place? this does not change the points in any way.
