I personally don't understand the design concept behind the entire MiniMates line, but when SQ and I were swapping Xmas stories we both knew immediately it had to be macro'd XD
You don't?? Oh you poor thing! *gives you some Spock-shaped cookies* I would be super sadface if they didn't sell any ST toys of any kind in shops near me. I also dislike internet shopping. I like the instantness and the touching. I like touching things, dammit!
I like the touching part of shopping, too. And the fact that I know what I´m buying... I don´t like the insecurity of whether it will really arrive or not and what it will look like... but I long for a ST toy so much (oh God, I´m 19 and I want a toy that has nothing to do with sex, what´s wrong with me? :D ) that I may just risk it...
Ack, it's not Spock, it's Bones! I want Spock so badly. :( Then I can stage merry little OT3 scenarios. *evil grin* But yeah, I also like that he's randomly wearing his utility belt. heehee.
Kirk is the barbie doll, Bones is the playmates doll, because Mattel did not make a Bones. They *were* expensive, but I got Bones on sale at a random toy store for like 10 pounds, and Kirk was on sale at a Star Trek museum gift shop for like 20 dollars or something. So they can be found for cheaper than their list price! Although clearly in my bargain shopping, I have not found Spock. I think he's probably the most popular doll and therefore difficult to get ahold of.
Yeah, I realised after sending the comment that "Wait, the ears were round..." The haircut is confusing... *see the other comment* :D
Well, I haven´t seen even a normaly priced ST toys around (Star Wars? yes, Harry Potter? tons, Star Trek? perhaps not popular enough around here? Stupid Central Europe :D)... I so want my own ST dolls ;(
I guess if I manage to survive my exams (read: get at least Es in resits), I´ll order something as a reward...
Normally the Barbies are 50 pounds and the playmates are 20. (I was like 50 quid are you kidding me???) I don't know what they're priced at in dollars or euros.
Central Europe, really? Where? =D Mind if I friend you?
Well, last (and only :() time I was in Brittain one pound was around 40 crowns and one euro is 30,1260 crowns... which is too much counting for me... :D But basically it means that the dolls are OMG EXPENSIVE :D ;(
Originally Slovakia, at the momment at Uni in Czech Republic... :) I don´t mind at all :) I´ll friend you back :)
(Ok, how many countries have I misspelled in this comment? I swear I´ll learn the correct spelling of every country one day :D I was basically only guessing :D )
Suddenly the prices look much less scary :) I may actually order some ;)
:D Well, that is one country I can spell! :) But I failed American History exam ;( (Maybe because I focused on dates and the likes and suddenly the exam consisted of matching names to quotes and legal proceedings and literature and things like that and I was like LOL WUT? *sigh* There´s always resit, I guess... which made me remember I should actually be revising... only Ship Wars are much more interesting :D )

Usually when I see ST toy, I am all: "I want that." These... not so much.
(I don´t own a single ST toy ;( Cause they are not in shops in my area and I am not comfortable with internet shopping...)
