Summary: During the Enterprise refit, Jim makes only two requests for changes to the Captain’s quarters: more soundproofing and some shelves for books. Most people assume the new captain expects to have some loud lovers or is perhaps a screamer himself. But the soundproofing is really because he doesn’t want his crew to notice him screaming himself awake from nightmares. This grand plan blows to hell after his first overnight visit to Sickbay.
He resorts to begging when he realizes that Bones isn’t going to let him go back to his quarters.
