Summary: A modern day AU based heavily on the movie, “The Holiday”, done for the jim_and_bones’ Reel_Love Challenge. Jim Kirk is a documentary film maker who didn’t even notice his lover had moved out, while Spock gets dumped by his long-time girlfriend. On a whim, they swap homes for the holidays and find more than they bargained for.
A/N: Christopher Pike and Philip Boyce have been aged up a lot. It was necessary in the context of the story.
A/N 2: Thank you all for your enthusiastic comments for our little tale. This was my first attempt at writing Spock as a main character; your positive response has allayed all my fears. Plus, this being an AU, I was able to imbue him with some emotional responses. It’s always an honor and so much fun to write with the scrumptious weepingnaiad. Love ya, darlin’. --abigail89
