...I didn't mean to. I still read everyone's shit, I just don't share.
Not a lot going on. And by that I mean I'm moving at the end of the month and possibly changing careers.
You know, the usual. ;)
I finally snapped and refused to stay in my apartment one more month with the construction. I saw a picture I took out my window when I first moved in, with the office building and the parking lot. Now I can't even see what the weather is like if I look out the window. And if I have to deal with another month of 6:30 AM wake up calls- screaming construction workers and saws and hammering and cranes and FUCK ALL...it won't be pretty.
My new apartment was built in the 1930s and has beautiful hardwood floors, a huge walk-in closet...and an actual kitchen. And five windows! And I'm sure it will have its fair share of problems, but still. A KITCHEN!!
I applied for a job as a web/ad/print/product designer for one of the highest-end guitar amplifier manufacturer's in the world. The guy that started/owns the company seems really cool. Right now it's either me or one other guy, although admittedly that guy's a web designer. Oh well, I'm pretty proud I made it as far in the process as I did, considering it was entirely on the force of my personality (I don't keep anything helpful or professional, like actual portfolios.) I still think it's weird that I can impress total strangers; really I'm an awkward child at heart. I think I'd be really good at the job, I really want it, but we'll see.
Other than that, I'm just juggling three jobs with the occasional fourth. Someday maybe I'll settle down and just have ONE job...
...Yeah, and maybe the Seattle housing bubble will burst. HA HA. You want a real laugh? Go to Craigslist, get on the Seattle page and then click on the "apts/housing" category. Then go to the Las Vegas page and do the same thing. In Las Vegas, $900 will get you a one bedroom apartment with all major appliances, 24-hour fitness center and a garage in a gated community. You know what $900 will get you in Seattle? Nothing even remotely close to that. Bleh.
Anywho, enough bitching. Long story short, I'm not dead.
