Didn't get in to that culture workshop, which obviously sucks, but what can you do...
Well, more better news: yesterday I realized that there's some Kenneth Anger's films in YouTube (or at least parts of them). I watched Rabbit's moon (the 1979 version). It must have the most wonderful, captivating soundtrack in the world. It's juts one song actually, "It came in the Night" by a man called Andy Arthurs. I don't know how to describe it. It's something else, I've never heard a song like that. Or I probably have, a dozen of them, but this one...
Fantoma is now (on next week, I think) releasing Anger for the first time on DVD, The Films of Kenneth Anger Volume 1. It contains Fireworks, Puce Moment, Rabbit's Moon (apparently the rare 16 minute version), Eaux d'Artifice and Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome. I need to get it. I really do.
I came across this picture again, after a long time. As far as I'm concerned, this just might be the most beautiful picture in the world.
