My first puter!
I thought I would try to create a lil meme... see how it goes and if anyone picks it up and runs with it
This is my first computer
It is an Atari 600xl, with an awesome 8bit memory, two joystick ports (on the right hand side) a few peripheral ports on the back, and of course the useful cartridge slot (with silver spring trapdoors which we had fun with for ages)
Peripherals of note we had included
our first peripheral, a magnetic tape drive (which even played audio tapes, what multi tasking!). Note the useful lil time keeper... oh how useful.
After a while we upgraded to a snazzy 5 1/4" floppy drive, cutting game load times from hours to mere minutes!
This was our awesome 4-colour printer! so useful.. for its time :)
We went through about three of these bad boys!
and had at least two of these guys!
and for some weird reason, this was our monitor... dad did some jiggery pokery with it to get it to work on a completely incompatible system... Yay!
