Help! Kirk courts Spock with tea
Hey all, I would love your help in finding a piece of Kirk/Spock fiction.
The highlight is that Kirk courts Spock with tea. Kirk really wants a relationship/bonding with Spock and researches all of the proper courtship rituals. Some of those rituals include: never talking directly about courting, choosing certain flowers for their hidden meaning and making tea to be consumed together.
Kirk does everything right, but Spock doesn't think that Kirk understands what he is saying with these rituals. Spock is caught by Kirk out on a date? with a female Vulcan (T'Pring?). Kirk gets a bit upset, and confronts him in the restaurant. The girl is shocked that Spock would disrespect the customs, and berates him for not taking Kirk seriously.
I think she even mentions that once the heartbreak is over, she would be willing to be courted by Kirk. I'm fairly sure that it ended with a happy ending, but there was quite a lot of emotionally hurt Kirk and repentant Spock.
I'm pretty sure I found it on AO3 or KSarchive, but I've not had any luck in finding it again.
