Hey guys, to all those who went to the Pioneer how did you find it?
I was there from about 8 45 to the end (can't remember what time that was lol).

I LOVED the last band but can't remember their name, anyone know?

i left at 8 30.
to be honest, i would have found cutting my own ears off more enjoyable than watching more of this tripe.
i have to say..the local music scene is shit.
well. bar a few.

and the pioneer needs to be closed down and ripped down in my eyes.
was it me, or did it seem like about 95% of the people there were about 12?
fucking annoyed me.
anyway.

Yes i agree, there were alot of young people there and probly too many new faces.
But i did have a nice time, i must say that.
The problem with Pioneer is simply the young people, and a kid coming up to me every 10 or so minutes asking me for fags then telling me he was 15 when he looked about 10. It was generally annoying.
I will go again though. haha.

should have got the good st albans / surrounding area bands to play then such as eden maine, aconite thrill, cry for silence...etc... as far as i am aware eden maine were not even asked, and they pull a crowd. the show last night was fucking superb! don't diss the entire local music scene because you saw some of the local shit bands play.

also stop moaning about the little kids. i personally find its the 16 plus who are a pain in the arse at these shows. posing, trying to be as cool and as fashion core as they can. the little kids go there because there is no where else they can go. they go and have a fucking good time and enjoy the music. i mean no disrespect but a lot of you moaning about this are not exactly of legal age...

Okay, i wasn't complaining about children being there, i was complaining about children asking me for cigerretes.
Whats your point about little children having no where else to go? some of them were about 7 or 8, by 11 at night i think they should be inside.
Also, it's usually the 14-16 year olds that have a compitition about clothes and such, not the older ones, plainly cause they don't generally give a fuck. Well the ones i know anyway.
Really, it's not me (us) complaining, but you making a mountain out of a mole-hill.
Sorry if i seem like a prick, im in a really bad mood.

O. Okay, but i was commenting on it aswell. . .
And the other person who wrote about it is my friend, so even if it wasn't aimed at me she had bloody good reason to complain.

yeah but instead of moaning about it, do something about it. if the problem of little kids at the pioneer bothers people so much then talk to the management about it. i wish i had a place like that to go when i was little and into the music i am still into. i don't have a problem with the kids. i think it is a positive thing that they have venues like this to go to and watch bands that they want to see. why should they have to wait until they are old enough in order to go see bands? they would never be able to go and see the bands play in london. i think the pioneer does a good job. yes i know there are fights and stuff, but there is everyhwere. i like the fact that it is alcohol free so that kids can actually go in the venue. i know people get pissed outside, but you can't stop that. the little kids probably think that all the older kids are twats who pose at shows and try and look cool. most of the people i know are too scared to even go to the front of the stage in case they smudge their eyeliner and their emo fringe flops. i love ( ... )

I don't mind them too much either really, i must of said "awwwww" about them rufly 10 times on saturday. I am a soft hearted bastard for mini people as i like to call them. Im also in a good mood again.
I think that kids should be allowed to go to the pioneer, i have no problem with it. The influance of the older people can't be good on them tho, watching them drink and the drugs aswell. . .
I do think that they should get everyone out who is at least under 12 by 10 o'clock though. It's a bit silly letting 7 or 8 year olds stay. Especially with all the fights outside, there a key target for phones, money etc.
Poor little bastards, and here i am all putting them down. . . they kinda made a part of the night aswell, there was a kid break dancing where the fightpit was and he got a huge clap from everyone, it was soooo sweet.

i didnt diss the WHOLE scene, as i did say "BAR A FEW"

i would have loved to see the bands you suggested play.

its a shame they rounded up the shit ones and told them to dance instead of finding some actual talent.

o well.
wish i did go to club 80-bloody-5

oh and by the way, i was having a pop at the under 16's who insist on drinking and smoking like troopers.
your making them all sound so innocent.

i know that they are not innocent! but there are some who do just go and enjoy the music. when i was 15 i drank and smoked like a trooper...then i grew up!

it wasn't just you, some of the people there couldn't have been older than 10. i left at 8 to go to the pub, hardly any of the bands playing were my kinda thing anyway. £7 was way too expensive.
