Snowy Owl Finger Puppet Pattern
This pattern is the knit version, followed by the crocet version. Make them, sell them, just credit me for the pattern. Enjoy!
Female Snowy owl (knit)
3.5 mm dpns
white worsted weight yarn (A)
black worsted weight yarn (B)
yellow or gold worsted weight yarn (C)
If you don't like colorwork, you can work the entire owl in white and use a needle to sew in the markings later.
For ease of reading the pattern, I include a , at the point where the dpns change.
Using a twisted german cast on or similarly stretchy method,
cast on to three needles (8,4,4): 16sts

row 3: 10 sc around, join gold with last sc
row 4: 1sc in gold, joining (A), 2sc in white joining gold in last sc, 1sc in gold joining white, 6sc. (10sts)
row 5: 10 sc around.
with tapestry needle, make a small pupil in each eye with black yarn.
row 6: 10 sc around.
with tapestry needle, make a small v shaped beak between rows 5 and 6 with gold yarn.
row 7-13 : 10 sc around.
fasten off.
wings are worked flat.
