I have been sleep deprived a lot lately. But I think I finally caught up with myself now. Yesterday was my last day at Rick's and I had to work the morning shift. I decided to have two of the old fashioned cinnamon donuts to celebrate the fact that I was leaving for good. No one reall acted like they cared that I was leaving... but I guess I didn't act that way either. I was glad to be moving on with my life.
I think that I hate not knowing what's going to happen next, but in a way I like it. Everything is going to be just fine. I'll get some sort of job and I'll always stay busy. Working out, alone, keeps me pretty stinking busy.
Yesterday after work I laid out by the pool at Tyler's apartment and accidentally fried my back. I was wearing SPF4, but apparently that stuff doesn't do any good. I thought I had enough base tan to lay out for half an hour, but not so much.... thanks to my red headed ancestors. I know they're there. When the light hits my hair just right you can see it. Scottish something. My dad's beard is red, so that doesn't help either. Considering that's half of my genes.
I really wanted to go to the lake but my body is mad at me. My left foot has been aching increasingly worse over the past week. My thighs are really sore, and my shoulders and necks feel like there are rocks inside them instead of muscles. I can convince Tyler to massage me for about five minutes, but a few hours later everything is knotted back up again. Maybe because I haven't eaten a vegetable since sometime last thursday.
Zach left me his blender, so hopefully I can use that to sneak something healthy into my lifestyle. It's really hard to eat properly when you're surrounded by pizza and chicken wings all the time. Then after I eat that, all I want to do is go get some ice cream from Andy's...
I finished my vampire novel. So i treated myself by watching the first 8 episodes of True Blood. I thought the show would try to cover the whole series all at once, but the first season of it is only the first book, so I'm guessing the second season is the second book and so on. It is definitely motivation to squeeze some leisurely reading into my spare time instead of just watching TV. The TV show changes a lot from the book. In some ways it's kinkier (It's an HBO series after all) and in some ways it's disappointing because of the things that are left out.
