So I got a letter in the mail today from my school, which, that's never a good sign--especially from my school--but I never thought it would've been this bad.
So the letter was stating that with the new superintendent on board, some school rules have been changed.
Apparently due to "cyber bullying" through text messages, and the excessive texting that is going on in school, mostly from girls, my school has banned purses from being carried around.
WHAT.
THE.
FUCK!?!
Ermm, what am I supposed to do with my, um, girl... supplies when darling Aunt Flo decides to drop by in the middle of Chemistry class. O_o????
So it's been mass chaos 'round these parts lately. My fellow irate female students are also as pissed off as I am and are planning a tampon rally against our school Principal by throwing them at him. This older woman I know was like "Do it! But dip them in red paint first." hahahaha.
Other people have come up with the option of wearing fanny packs because those technically aren't purses.
I understand why they have put in place this rule, to stop texting in school, but I'm sorry, this is getting a little ridiculous. They obviously haven't thought of all the other consequences to not being able to carrying around a purse and what this really means for girls. We're talking about a matter of privacy here. What are we supposed to do with our pads/tampons? Put 'em on the corner of our desk? If so, I certainly plan on waving my tampon in the air when asking my male teacher to go to the bathroom. This rule has been put in place, I certainly plan on making a few people at least a little uncomfortable with the consequences of such.
Thank God I only have to put up with this school for only one more year.
But let's just say that this year is certainly having a promising start.
