Mar 21, 2018 00:00

You must know I planned all these ahead... they were ready two weeks ago... and since I suck big time at colouring, I involved a very talented friend... You'll see for yourself... These are humble little gifts to show my appreciation to your work as a fanfiction writer (of course! Even if I'm sure you're the best at the other official job, too!), a ( Read more... )

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks you so, so, so, so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a wonderful day to start my birthday!! When I got up, I found flowers, a lovely decorated table in the living room and a present sitting there for me. And my daughter was first to congratulate and give me her present before she headed to school. And now, before I walk the dog in a lovely cold and foggy morning :-), I thought I check on emails. And look what I found!!

Those drawings are BEAUTIFUL!!! They are just perfect. I'm not sure why those boys are eating my b-day cake (we'll have a talk about that!), but they look so damn adorable, they deserve a piece of cake. Btw, I do like sweets (unfortunately) and cake, too. Cake actually more than pie and the one you drew there looks delicious.

Of course I saw their trademarks - the crossbow bolt sticking in the ground, Rick's colt tucked in his waistband (can't wait for Daryl to ask "Hey, Rick, whadda ya got in yer pants there?" LOL) and the ties around the legs of Daryl's pants. I never understood what those were for actually. For a while I thought that was to secure they wouldn't get stuck in his bike while riding it, but he tied those legs even after Dwight stole his bike. Well, whatever. Trademark. It's interesting how you mixed that photoshoot image with the Rickyl version in your mind and let Rick feed Daryl - just the way it's supposed to be. Right, kick those girls out of the picture - everything they need is right there.

Tell your friend I totally love the sunset coloring of that lake picture. I loved that pic the way you had it, too, but this gives it such a wonderful peaceful, warm glow. Sunsets are enchanting and I love the red and orange hues they leave, so this is perfect.

I admit the Daryl/Judith one is my favorite! Aaawwwwwwww. I'm gonna add that to the story. It needs to be seen. It's just too damn cute to keep it all to myself. You drew that by memory?!? Truth to be told, I had to reread that scene myself to see what you meant about it not being correct. They are sitting in a recliner snuggled up, the Xmas tree is only on the lower branches (good memory!) and you even remembered Bunno. Can you believe I did not? LOL So they don't have the footrest up. Is that the mistake you're refering to? Doesn't matter at all - it's such a minor thing. This picture is perfect!!!!!!!!!!! I love it, love it, love it!!!!!

Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooo much for drawing these wonderful pictures for me. You just totally made my day. I just need to ask you this now and maybe I need glasses in my old age, but pic No. 1 and 2, same as 4 and 5 look entirely identical to me. I looked back and forth a couple of times, but I see no difference. Maybe just me ...

I'm really happy now and consider myself blessed to have such a wonderful friend like you.
Love you, too, sweetie!!

Hugs,
Tariel

I'm really really happy you liked your presents!!! <3

And what a wonderful daughter you have! Was it her who set the table? You know, when I read that it reminded me of 'Dark Harbor' when the young man set the table for breakfast! Even if I really hope that's not the case!!! XD

The differences between the pictures are: for the boys eating cake, their dresses are dirty in the second one (light shadowed spots of dirt and dust, because my friend didn't like the thought of dirtying her work ;-) but I remembered their clothes were a little dirty and torn in those pictures, am I right or wrong? And to make them look like in that picture, I had to add the stains!)
For the lake, there's a special glow in one of them, I think it's in the second one? If you look at them changing quickly from one to the other, you can see it - it's mostly between the two of them. Minor things, but they're there and I wanted you to have both versions :-)

I read my bed scene!!! I couldn't leave you a comment because I was sleeping on my keyboard - not because of the chapter!! It was the only thing keeping me awake!! - so I'm going to comment tonight :-) feels like it's my birthday, too!!! <3<3<3

I hope you had a wonderful day!
Hugs!!!

Nope, you misunderstood. I don't like the presents. I LOVE them. LOL

Yup, for the most part she's a lovely daughter, but naturally she's got her teenager moments, too. Moments when you just want to slap her face. LOL Remember how Carl behaved after the prison fell and he was the meanest little bastard in the world, treating Rick disrespectful and pretty much like shit, blaming him for everything which was nothing but unfair? Yes, I know those moments, too.
It was my hubby who set the table - he had a card written, put flowers there and decoration stuff like little hearts etc. Totally cute.

Oh, oops, my observation skills. Or rather - the lack thereof. You are right, there is a difference between the pictures. How did I miss that? I would totally suck as the witness of an accident or something, I swear to God. Being asked what color the car that caused the accident had, I'd probably go: "Car? What car?". LOL
Sorry, I should really learn to pay better attention.
