So we've found a guy here in tampa who runs a sort of rescue thing for ferals...
I went out and saw it and was very impressed with the place and with him...
He had mentioned that he was needing help with the cats and that that would consist of helping take care of them as well as something monetary...
Well we figured out that for 2yrs worth of food it would be about $700...
So I spoke to him yesterday and he finally gave me an actual amount in regards to taking them...
He's wanting $200 dollars per cat...
So roughly $2200...
We definately do not have that...
So now we are trying to figure out a way to maybe adopt some of them out...in regards to the ones that are adoptable and then see how many we have left...
which from what I've figured...there are about 8 that are not adoptable...so that's still $1600...
And I don't think that he's being unreasonable in asking for that much...when you think about the fact that he's going to be taking care of them for the rest of their lives...and the money goes towards food, upkeep of where they live, vet visits, and anything else that might come up in regards to the cats...
so...
if anyone has any suggestions or knows someone who wants a cat or can donate to the cause of keeping them alive and well...rather than having them be euthanized...please let me know...
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated...
