Goodbye Chester Be
Wake up today and hear the news about Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, it’s heartbreaking! I love their music since Meteora. “Crawling” and "Numb" has been my song anthems for many many years.
I chased them as a journalist and a fan girl from my own town, Jakarta, to Tokyo and Macau.
Even with my new found love of rock music from One Republic, Fall Out Boy or Imagine Dragon, I still try to keep up with their music or what’s going on with the band. I apply for volunteer in their social organization, Music for Relief, when they perform in Jakarta for the second time in 2011.
And altough I am not liking their new album as much as the old ones, “One More Light” album is still in my ipod (yess, I still have an ipod nano lol, thanks @triasmardi). Songs like “Heavy,” and “Halfway Right” still kicks my emotion. I even can't wait to watch their appearance with Ken Jeong in Carpool Karaoke Late Show with James Corden.
So, today is a sad day. Goodbye @chesterbe! Hopefully you found your peace up there and be happy.
