Am I Really Going?
Got a phone call hour ago. A long time friend from Warner. He asked me why I cancelled my trip to Singapore next week. I told him that it's not worth going as not many access I get, considering I will stay there for a week. Man, if I can't get the hotel free, it's very expensive.
When I told him about this, he told me that everything has changed. I will get three day pass to watch SINGfest and will get the photo pass and plus interview access with several WEA artists. With that, then my heart melt. In just hours, I've already booked the ticket to Singapore. Now, I still have to find free accomodation from 2 to 6 August and a ticket back to Jakarta. Gosh! What a long journey it still is. Praying so hard that there's people in couchsurfing who wants to couch me. I mean it's going to be 4 or 5 night.... If I have to stay at a hotel, whoa, it's going to be very expensive for sure!
Beside the accomodation, I have to prepare airport tax, flight tix, pocket money.
Just the ticket for the 3day concert is so d*mned EXPENSIVE. It's nearly the same price for the plane ticket to Osaka by Cebupacific. I calculate roughly if I don't get any sponsor, I'll be spending around USD500. Gosh! As much as I want to see Jared Leto, I don't think I'll sacrify that much. Sorry, my handsome!
With the free concert ticket plus two free accomodation + trying to get the other 2 days free, I can save a lot! I've spent the flight ticket PP USD85 plus later airport tax 150.000,- I am hoping that I will only spent USD 100 for 4 days in Singapore (hotel & meals)
So far, the artist access that I got is interview with Katty Perry, Tokio Hotel, Diane Birch and 30 Second to Mars.
The last one is THE REASON why I go crazy and just do the impulsive thing, which is buy the single ticket plane just now.
Finger crossed that tomorrow I find a nice host for the next two day. And hopefully, everything re. artist access are confirmed by this week.
