Best judge's compliment: "Shania Twain, when she was a guest judge, told me I had 'nice lips' and a 'beautiful bottom end.'"
Criticism he needed to hear: "Randy said he wasn't sure what kind of artist I would be and where I would fit into the music industry. So I've been thinking a lot about what kind of style I'm trying to do with my music."
Song he'd love to sing that's not a good fit: "Probably any Stevie Wonder or Michael Jackson song. I idolize them so much, and I'm kind of scared to touch their repertoire. I would love to cover one at some point, but I just know it's not a good idea."
Most recent download:Evolver, John Legend
Theme night he'd enjoy: "Blues or jazz, Soul Week - even Michael Jackson."
Theme night he'd be anxious about: "Disco Week would be pretty tough on me."
His ideal mentor: Stevie Wonder
Most proud of: "Myself and my parents, for hanging in there and coming all this way. My parents had a hard time here in the States, raising me. I owe it all to them."
Why should he be the next Idol? "I'm very different. I'm something new and refreshing. America's never seen anyone like me before. On top of that, I can sing pretty well. That's not a bad thing, I don't think."
