1.) Where did you hang out most in 2006?
My apartment, My room, My desk, In front of my favorite typewriter.
2.) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
Single, as per-usual.
3.) Were you in school (anytime this year)?
Yes, the school of LIFE!
Ok, no.
4.) How did you earn your money?
Worked at Whole Foods in the bakery (met some nice people)
Worked at MICA, Center for Art Education
Working for Circle Temporary Services
5.) Did you ever have to go to the hospital?
No
6.) Have you encountered the police?
Yes. I called the police to report my roomate missing before she told me that it's normal for her to dissapear for days at a time, and a police officer approached me while I was putting up some posters for Current around UB.
7.) Where did you go on vacation?
In Aug. I want to California for a week to visit the family (sorry CA friends for not calling you...it wasn't a happy time for me anyway and hanging out with me would have been more like changing the diaper on a sack of potatos)
Providence, RI to visit my best friend Kris and had a great time, got super rehabilitated.
8.) What did you purchase that was over $500?
The most I spend on any one thing this year was $200 for a coat from Banana Republic.
9.) Did you know anybody who got married?
Friend's of friend's, but not anybody directly.
10.) Did you know anybody who passed away?
One of my uncles that I never knew, on my dad's side.
The concept of my father is more dead to me now than ever before as well.
11.) Have you ran into anybody you graduated high school with?
No

I moved upstairs, from the basement to the first floor of the same building.

Saw an amazing band at the Bank, Zoom Zoom, or something like that.
I missed more than I wanted to because of work hours. But I did fall in love with The USA is a Monster and Video Hippos.

Came and went.
Oh yeah, I remember. I had to work late the night before, after work (at Whole Foods) I went to The Talking Head by myself (not unusual) to see Jackie O Motherfucker. I smoked by myself upstairs until the girl in JOM started talking to me (later I realized that she was 'hitting' on me, as they say), she bought me a beer at midnight because I turned 21 that night (oh yeah, one of her band mates heard me at the door when I said I was turning 21 at midnight so they let me in as over 21, that's how she knew it was my birthday). A friend of mine who was at the show bought me a drink that I had to blow out (because it was on fire, but on purpose) and it tasted like Snickers. Then he drove me home and I told him that he is the most beautiful man that I've ever known and every time I see him my heart nearly stops. I meant it, and I had wanted to tell him that for a while. I still mean it, but that's another stupid, short story.
And I smoked weed.
Then the next day, on my actual birthday, I went to the Mt. Royal Tavern (by myself, this was not a 'happy-fun-time-with-friends" period of my year) to attain the satisfaction of being carded but there was no one at the door so I just walked in and started reading the Citypaper because I didn't have any money for a drink. I smoked a cigarette, an old guy talked to me, and I left, all within 10 minutes.
This was probably the crappiest birthday of my life.
19.) What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2006?
Got really, really drunk at a show, tried to hit on guys, went home and vomited on the floor in my bedroom, went to sleep, woke up hungover and watched as ants began to collect the solid chunks of puke on my floor.

Massively doubting myself.
21.) What's something you learned about yourself?
I can be a selfish pig.

My family is so big I probably have 60 new cousins between CA and South Carolina.

I quit working at Whole Foods, declared that I will never work with food again. This is also when things started turning around, got more prepared for my first little art show at Charm City Art Space, "Utz vs. Them".
