Moving on Forward
When i first came to LJ it was as a writter who had out grown the web space availible for her creative pursuts. Orignially, I moved a creative wrtiting journal featuring a love-to-hate fiesty gnome, some pieces of orignal poetry, and up dates on the orignal and still running sites status. Over the last two and a half years, this journal has grown and deviated from its orignal puropse. While groth in and of itself can be a good thing, spinning aimlessly off in multitudes of varied inane directions, whislt sometimes amussing, can end up being a problem.
So, over the last two months I took a break from LJ. I though long and hard about wheter I would come back to it, and in what capcaity that would be. What i realized, after remembering the original concept of this site as explained to me by a good friend ("it's a place for writters to get together and support each other"), is that in a way this site has been good for my writting becuase it allows me to get feedback and grow as an author. What I also realized is that since i came to LJ there have been people that supported botht the move to LJ, my work, and more importantly me. So, I shall in short be staying. But I do however find it nescessary to refocus this journal so that it is more in line with its orignal purpose.
To that end, I will be more clearly labeling posts so that site news is identifiable (yes it will acutally be here this time scouts honor), original poetry is clearly makred, and all my prose is readily enjoyable/find-able. I shall still make the occaisional post on me and what's going on, but i think for once I'm going to try and let my work do the talking for me....I guess time alone will tell us how this goes.
