My opinion...
... if the Miss California contestant for Miss USA does not believe in the rights of the gays to get married, she has the right to state her opinion. It may not be something that those who do believe in gays getting equal right to marriage want to hear, but it is her opinion and the opinion of over half of the voting people in this state.
Leave her be. She has the right to her opinion, same as others have the right to hold a different opinion. And why that should have affected her being or not being chosen as Miss USA is something I will never understand.
Want to change people's opinions? Give them valid reasons to believe otherwise. Talk with them, don't bash them.
