Mineral makeup.

I am surprised with myself. I threw away my old makeup stash a few years ago, and figured I would never go back. So... now I am looking at various mineral makeups, trying to understand them, and which might work for me. I like the idea of lightweight, but I don't want to "glow" or "sparkle" (I am not a Twilight vampire, tyvm).

At this point, either a low-priced (read cheap) Neutragena or Physicians Formula, or Sheer Cover is what I am thinking about. I am leaning to Sheer Cover for the lightness of it and it is a complete sample kit, but I know I won't be wearing it or ordering it very often, and I don't want to end up paying for supplies I don't use. But I've found sources for it on eBay, so it may be worth trying, then getting pieces as I want them.

See, I hated heavy foundations and I probably won't wear makeup most of the time, since I am at home most of the time. But I want something for looking put together at events, or those days I am out of the house. Hmmm.... which is pretty much what my Mom did. Only she was old school, and wore the heavy cream foundations I detest. I wonder if she hated wearing it as much as I did.

And I really only want a few basic natural colors for the blush, eyeshadow, and lipstick as a simple kit.

So, ladies, do you use mineral makeup? If so, which do you prefer to use, or can't stand, and why?
