Fevered Dreams

I feel human again... I took a nice hot shower, and washed the fever-stink away. Yaa for hot showers. But I have to say I don't like a scalp that hurts still whenever I touch it.

The one interesting thing about fevers, which I think has finally broken [edit: nah, just dropped to 99.7], are the weird dreams that fevers seem to make even more interesting. Or annoying.

One of my fever dreams was simply my mind going through the process of making lavender soap, since I was going to make that for gifts for tonight's Yule that I am not going to go to. I really don't need to share this flu, really... but the food. Anyway, that was a very annoying obsession dream that went on and on. I will eventually make the soap, once I can smell again.

The nice dream I rememberd from this morning was the exploration trip of San Francisco (my mind said it was SF, but it was too flat really, more like LA), somewhere in the Japan/China town areas, which are two different places but in my dream was merged into one. I don't know what exactly it was trying to say, as I was basically wandering around and seeing what was there; not really looking for anything, not really finding anything, other than some art teacher's studio/shop that I've never heard of her name or had interest in her items. I did see some interesting Japanese buildings, or Japanese stores, neither of which were based in reality, that I know of. I've been to both places, some years ago with my Mom, and the stores and buildings were very different than in the dream.

I remember walking around with a little scarf on my head, that apparantly all the Chinese factory worker women wear, that seemed to be a signal to the food waitresses that they would quickly take my order and provide my meal very quickly. I don't remember what I ordered or ate. I do remember taking off the scarf after awhile.

I also remember walking around buildings under construction at the edge of the area, while trying to make to a nearby subway entrance. Very dusty, and in some places hard to get around, but I made it through to the above mentioned art studio, which I wandered around before I woke up.

Watching a repeat Mythbusters, where they are making and working with a "steam" machine gun from the Civil War era... Adam is dressed up in CW attire, which is very cool. Roger says he's worn it in other episodes, too. But still... steam machine gun! I can imagine someone creating something similar, as a non-working model hopefully, for a steampunk event.
