Halloween & the kids' costumes.

Ah, finally... my part for Halloween is done; making the costumes.

I really should give more time than I ended up taking, as I only managed to finish Cam's outfit in the time I did use. I wanted to do a fairy for Relle that lit up, but that didn't even get beyond washing the fabric. I just balked at doing them for reasons I am still trying to figure out. Tired, I was tired from everything I've been doing most of this month, which gave me too little time to figure out what I was doing to make their outfits.

But Cam's clone trouper outfit is done (after a 2am work night last night). It is a black jumpsuit, with vinyl armour, that I took some pics for a dressdiaries entry sometime later. He got to wear parts of it at school, and I finished up the final pieces for him to wear tonight. He said he liked the outfit, but I think it is more the helmet and blaster that came from the toy store that has him happy. But he liked putting his outfit on, and said he liked it, so hopefully he is enjoying himself.

And I was able to finish off the red velveteen dress from last Holiday season to work as a princess dress that Relle just loved as is. Thankfully rwfranz had gotten her a princess crown and earrings set for her birthday that was still unopened, which she just loved. Her eyes lit up once we got her dress on, her hair done (I am sooooo out of practice on "pretty hair"), and then the crown on. So, while it wasn't the fairy outfit, as least she gave me that happy look of joy in her getting her very own "princess dress"!

So, now I sit here writing this, while the kids hit the doorbell every so often. Roger is here, too... while c0demonkey and docryder are with the kids. We had some pizza for nurishment, and I hope they don't eat too much candy while they are out. So, now I can relax (I can feel my shoulders actually untensing), and rest, and tonight I will catch up on my sleep a bit before shifting my focus a bit.
