Another book.
Finally, one of the older books that has been too expensive to buy used, is finally on its way to me at a more reasonable price. Visual History of Costume: The Sixteenth Century by Jane Ashelford. At only $30.00! (compared to about $90 average).
While I am sure some of those images are already on the net at a decent size, or I've already scanned it... there is one image that I know I need to find again, I've only seen it in that one book, and my local library system no longer allows that book to be checked out! Not even ILL (I have tried). And I can't afford a trip to Bakersfield just to look at it in their reference collection. While this is a bit more expensive than gas money, at least I will have it in MY personal library.
Now to wait for the other Jane Ashelford book to be found at a lower price than $189 (Dress in the Age of Elizabeth I).
