RIP Gary Gygax.

With thanks to many of the LJ friends who posted about his passing.

While I never met the man, the products of his and his partners creative minds brought fruit and helped teach me many things about life, all in the name of a simple game I learned back in the summer of 1978 (before my 7th grade). His gaming legacy will live on for awhile longer, I hope. I know my two younger children will play the game when they are older, in whatever incarnation they might prefer. After all, I still have boxes of 1st Ed. rules & modules still around. Thank you Gary Gygax.
