Weight loss: A year and a day mark.

Feb 14, 2008 11:35

In 2002, my highest weight was 265, before and as I had my son Cameron. A year ago yesterday, 2/13/2001, I weighed 230 pounds. Today, a year and a day later, I weigh 184 pounds! I still have 36 pounds further to go to reach my goal weight (150 lbs), but I will reach that goal, and at the rate of a pound or so a week, I will make that goal this year!

Here's my weight graph
My Weight Chart:

I have lost 46 pounds without starving myself (I may be on "South Beach diet", but to me it is a lifestyle change to healthier eating), and sad to say so far, without much exercise (tho I am slowly changing that). Today is a sunny day, and I intend of enjoying some of that with a nice walk this afternoon. I also will be putting Richard Simmons back in my life with some Sweating to the Oldies (must clear living room every night now).

My waistline is 36" sucked in (compared to 40" on 2/01/2007). My goal is 35" at minimum to lower my heart issues. I will be learning my health numbers in a few weeks, and will post then.

And to celebrate, I intend on getting a nice pair of pants that fit me decently. My current pairs are either baggy sweats, or pants that I can remove without unbuttoning them, and yes the waistline is fitted on those pairs, so they are currently hanging on my hips, baggy everywhere, and that's not comfortable for me. And it is very nice to say that.

Looking at my calendar, I could possibly be at goal weight by Halloween! Which as I get into gear with my exercise, may come off a smidge faster, so I can be there by Hanford RoK/GWW time in early October. Oh, this is making me *want* to achieve it by then. To see the end goal, I hope this motivates me to move my rear into gear! I know the dreams I've had lately, and seeing my dream self looking fit and perky (Oh, Lord to have such a perky body again - but that really will be only in my dreams), has been helping me to visualize myself as slender again. Visualizing is a good thing. I will be at a healthy weight and have a healthy body; I will!
