I got both sides of the counter next to my sink all cleaned up, even on the window, in the cracks at the base of the window track that had filled with dust and dirt from outside, the plastic "drape", and various counter items. Most of the crap is gone! I had begun to feel rather claustrophobic standing there doing dishes, as I had so much "stuff" just sitting around. Now most of the counter is cleared off, and only the stuff that should be there is. {go me!!}
I also cleaned off the main counter area around the stove top. Just a basic cleaning for now, as the other job has drained me pretty much. I usually clean that off more often, and it will fill up quickly, so I rarely had time to do much of anything else in my kitchen. But not today.
And I think I want to just focus on one room at a time for a few weeks. I want to really get that kitchen cleaned up, shelves wiped down, the pantry properly arranged, etc. So, this will be my first major cleaning project focus. Actually my second. I've already done a major cleaning in my master bath, although the shower stall still needs a good floor scrubbing; but the rest is pretty spiffy and clean.
While flylady plan is good for cleaning up the whole house, I want to clean up my public rooms first, even tho the rest of the house needs as much cleaning and organizing as the public rooms. I just felt that doing a little here and there just wasn't getting me much of anywhere, so hopefully this plan of attack will work better for me. I shall see.
Well, time to relax a bit before clearing off the dining table, yet again this week.
