TT Workshop Review

Jul 18, 2007 22:41

Another article for the Towne Cryer has been written and sent off to the editor, Tina.

This one was simple, a positive Review on the Tudor Tailor workshop I attended in Vallejo. Oh, how hard is that to make into a positive spin! I was so very giddy, partly from lack of sleep, and mostly from being charged with what we learned (there I go using a royal 'we').. what I learned, that I didn't want to come home, I didn't want it to end. I am sure they were more than happy to head to their homes that weekend.

In the review, I got a bit wordy again, nearly 1500 words, three pages, but there are places Tina can cut if she prefers or needs to do so. I didn't mean to write so much, but considering I learned so much in that one day, it was hard to simplify everything and still make it sound interesting. And I had to leave out so much, but hey, I made a good plug for their book, too, and I provided a link to their web site.

I do have to switch the photos from the workshop to my personal site. I just need to find time. And while I won't be posting the review online yet, I do want to put up my other articles on my web site, I just have to figure out where and how and all the niggling little details that I don't have time for. Time... I need more time...

I really need to work on my kirtle (but I shall speak of that in its own entry).
