The joy of virtual windows

Apr 19, 2007 21:29

I am currently updating my Win2k program on my Mac, and it entails lots of uploading, installing, and rebooting. Thankfully, under Parallel Desktop, it is only a virtual shutdown, my Mac keeps going, and I keep on working on other things, like this.

I know some will villify me for using Windows on my new Mac, but I need to have access to programs that don't have a Mac alternative, so this little program is really nice, nifty, and simple to use (even if odd to install).

hehehe... my Parallels/Win2k just crashed, and still my Mac isn't affected. Nice, if annoying a bit. If it had been a real windows crash, I would have had to reboot my whole machine, and this little piece of writing would have been dust. Instead, the software was restarted. Wow. So nice and stable. Just what Windows should have been.

I also named the Win2k system Tyche. Seemed appropriate to me. I need to give my Mac a good name as well. Something to think about.

mac, computer, software, windows
