pants fitting woes
Grrr... after all the carefull fitting, and reworking of darts and all on my pants, when the waistband went in, things didn't work out right. My backside, which was just right under the elastic tape, if not a bit low, is now too high and actually sticks out in the back at the waist. The front fits ok, but it dips in a semi-V shape that is bothersome to my eye. And the nice darts that were smooth in front, now have puckers that didn't show up before.
Well, this is what a mockup is all about, including the waistband. I will wear this for a bit and see what else "wrong" shows up, so that I can make adjustments all at once and get this pair of pants "right" and proper in fitting me.
Hmmm... I wonder if doing all that work while I was PMS and bloated really made that much of a difference now that I am less bloated.
Well, one nice thing is the pretty pewter button I am using. I don't know how well it will handle the stress, but it's nice to look at.
