Impatience.

I hate having to wait for the books I ordered. I got the Victorian era picture book that is such wonderful eye candy, and I have skimmed it a bit. That book actually was sent by amazon.com after the other two books were, but it was mailed from Richmond, California, so it only took a day to get to me. But while I enjoy looking at the pretty pics, I can only do so while the kids are not around lest it get ruined by a misplaced anything.

But I want something to read, not just sigh on. I guess I am funny that way. I love to read, and while I have a couple of books I could read, they aren't what I am in the mood for.

I think I most am in the mood to read or do some blackwork embroidery. That's what I've been spending the last few days looking up in one form or another. So I want to do that right now, which of course I can't. But I am finding all sorts of fun things, like YLI silk filament threads for a good price, and even linen even-weave fabrics in yards. I only wish I could find a slate frame on this side of the pond, not in England. I guess when finally have the money to buy that kind of a frame, I will be able to afford the shipping costs, but I really don't want to have to pay such high shipping if there is anyone in the states that sells it. I think I will have to check the local shops and see what they can get.
