Halloween costume completed!
I actually got a sewing project done over the weekend/holiday... for Cameron. I made him a Boots the Monkey outfit from Dora the Explorer children's show. I modified a kids pattern of animals to make it, and he already has the red boots he loves to wear. I took photos of it on my film camera, so it will be a bit before I post images. The bottoms got really muddy during his trick or treat experience (wasn't able to put in the elastic for his ankles), but other people did recognize the character, so that made me happy.
It was a lot easier to do then I had expected, but kinda brainless in some ways since I didn't have to figure out a pattern, or do much more than follow the already provided instructions with only a few extra pieces added on. In some ways I kinda miss that kind of project... simple, brainless sewing to relax by. Just have to remember to NOT do these things at the last minute. I may even write up a brief article on it someday, like when the photos come in.
