Goodness, I love being on some of the historical costuming mail lists I am on.
One lady just shipped me some yards of grey crepe wool she can't use, just for the cost of shipping.
Another lady is sending me some sample costume jewels so I can see how the makers make them in England! There are two highly recommended makers or repro jewels, and she's worked with both, and ooooooohhhhhhh, my goodness, I am so excited. It's so hard to tell just looking at photos, but to get them in person to touch and hold and then decide who to go with.
Needless to say I will owe both ladies very big for their generosity.
