Omg. No one can define either?! :( It does kind of make it harder right next to eachother, because they definitely share a lot of attributes..

Confidence: To feel assure of ones self no matter what without making it annoying to others. To be proud of yourself in a positive manner.
Arrogance: To be a jerk that annoys others by belittling them when you know something that they might not. To think ones self is better than others in an irritating way.

Probably not what they really mean, but what interpret them to mean lol.

Hmm.. Think the involvement of others is necessary for arrogance?

Do you think it could be said that arrogance is the display of confidence in a method other than confidence's natural attributes? I'm sure there are methods of displaying it that don't have a socially imposed negative stigma attached, but I kind of wonder if arrogance is possible to avoid to one who is confident and subjected to the opinions of others.

I guess what I'm saying is that the two have a lot in common. What do you think makes confidence acceptable and arrogance not? Can one consciously communicate his or her confidence without boasting? Thanks for response! <3

Someone called you arrogant? :P

I'd say confidence is when you are convinced of your own capabilities, that you have what it takes to do whatever it is you want. Arrogance is when that makes you feel superior to other people.

I think it's possible to communicate your confidence without coming off as arrogant, it's all in the choice of words. Compare

"I feel pretty good about my car tinting skills"
and
"Nobody tints cars as well as I do".

Ah okay. Well, I'm called arrogant on a daily basis, lol. I think I may be at times. For instance, I am known around the DFW area as one of the best window tinters. It's true and I am confident about it, but it's also likely conducive to arrogance depending on one's definition. I don't run around telling people that, but if an employer asks me my skill level in the field I tell them that - I'm the best tinter that they are going to find. Question is.. Are they willing to pay for the best? - Is this confidence or arrogance? I think an argument could be given for both sides. More or less, I think a bias in either direction towards the person you're placing judgment on could affect the adjective given (Arrogance, Confidence)...

Confidence: Being sure of something without having to rely on anyone without being to fockr about it.

Arrogance: Fockr.

Sup?

I heard you quit again. How shocked am I supposed to be?

I never announced to anyone I was quitting. I'm not sure where that came from unless someone who understands my incentive for playing stated such...

I play to lead. My incentive in playing is to lead and teach and indulge in the results. I am also passionate about both leading and teaching. When I allow myself access to something I'm passionate about, I've little discipline as far as practicing healthy moderation.

I simply took a leave from leadership, due to a few factors but primarily getting my life back into a position capable of improving important aspects that will lead to a more content disposition.

Without subjecting myself to leadership I am capable of playing in moderation.

Who said anything about quitting the game, as opposed to quitting shell?

Not every reply has to be a reply in which you try to impress your own self, homie. This is JUST life. Get it? :3

No I don't. Lol. Quit again would be an assumption that you're more personally curious about my playing in general, opposed to my presence as a leader on a server you don't reside..

I feel that you asking me if I quit the game holds more justification towards your personal interest... I don't get the impress myself thing ;_;
