Window Tinting Made Easy! (notrly at all)

I started tinting windows when I was 16. I had a totally sweet 1992 Honda Prelude that needed to be riced out. This was 13 years ago. There was an import accessory shop that made the majority of its money by tinting windows for dealerships in the area. Since I was always hanging out there and trying to fix ( Read more... )

Haha. I knew I have seen it before. I live in Grand Prairie and work in Dallas. Looks nice!

I race and build Mustangs. But, I am lookin' to buy a 2002-2006 Acura RSX Type-S Arctic Blue Pearl. Tryin' to fix up a K20. :)

When I get it... Would you mind tinting my car? :)

Ha. Interesting you live in the area. Do you play FFXI? I'm curious how you found this journal..

Acura RSX.. Yeah for sure =] I currently am somewhat limiting the amount of sidework I do (Since I'm at a new place of employment and don't want to risk my job!), but they are really cool and I can definitely do 1-2 a week if we schedule it in advance. I have immediate access to Llumar ATR 5% (limo), 20% (running very low on 20%), 35% and a 20% completely reflective film (looks just like a mirror). If you want something else, get with me in advance and I can get it. I can charge less though if it's a film I already have.

Keep in mind, it's easier to tint a car with clear glass and if I have to remove any tint on the vehicle, it's very time consuming and will cost slightly more. So if you have the opportunity, get a car with no tint at all! =]

Should PM me your info so we can discuss via text messages if you wish.. ttyl..

tintage on those windows makes it totally not visible from the outside to inside?

my car comes default tint

Nah, kind of depends on the lighting. I have dark interior so it appears darker than it actually is. With each additional window tinted, less light is capable of being viewed inside the vehicle though, so the windshield even with a light shade, makes all windows appear darker.

Default tint is sometimes colored glass, but is also sometimes the tint that you think is default, that someone like me actually put on =]

@bennett

Look at his interior, it's super dark, even in the first pic without windows.

And who are you playing in SSF4?

I always thought you had office jobs in the financial field or something. :O This is way cooler! While I was reading this, I wondered if there are laws against tinting car windows, and at the end this came somewhat true. I never saw cars with such dark windows here, so I looked it up: in Europe, the percentage of light allowed through the front window should be 75% or more. :o

lol wow, that is very strict. Texas law is pretty lenient overall, which makes it easier to get away with really dark windows.

I bet you're the only person who actually read all of that =P <3

Unless you mean the front windshield. That's actually pretty lenient. Most people don't tint the front windshield at all. You should check it that's the front doors, or the front windshield.

(sorry for late reply)

Oh, yes, front windshield. We call it "front window" lol. I believe it's like, 75% for the front windshield, and 70% for the other windows. :S
