Sure, this is no Hollywood, or Bollywood for that matter. Yet the show depicts something that is uniquely Singaporean, the getai of the Month of the Hungry Ghosts in Singapore.
Yes, there are bits of the plot that made little or no sense, bits that were never properly developed, but it is still a sterling effort by Royston Tan. The songs were super-infectious, and I was singing them all weekend!
